Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."

At St. Pius X, baptism classes are offered the first Sunday of each month at 1:30pm, following the 12:30pm Spanish Mass. Parents must call the parish office to register for class. Parents must be registered parishioners and active in the parish for six months prior to baptism. Catholics from other parishes requesting infant baptism must provide a letter of good standing and permission from their pastor.
